Final year IT student at Kabarak University with a passion for problem-solving and a sharp analytical mind. I thrive when diagnosing complex issues and finding elegant fixes — whether in hardware, software, or security systems.
Building hands-on cybersecurity skills through TryHackMe, home lab projects, and CompTIA certifications. Open to full-time IT Support roles and freelance work as I grow toward a career in cybersecurity.
To become a SOC Analyst or Penetration Tester — using my analytical skills to protect organizations from real threats and help people stay safe online.
I believe in integrity, continuous learning, and doing work that genuinely serves others. Security isn't just a career to me — it's about protecting people.
Gained hands-on field experience at one of Kenya's growing fibre internet providers. Worked directly on physical network infrastructure and real customer issues, building practical skills that go beyond the classroom.
Hands-on labs and practice platforms I use to build real security skills.
A portable security lab running on my Android phone: Ubuntu 24.04 under proot-distro inside Termux, with a customised zsh shell and a toolkit for network scanning, password auditing, web app testing and packet capture. Used on my own lab and authorised practice targets only.
Working through pwn.college's hands-on cybersecurity practice environment. Set up SSH key authentication to connect to its challenge machines, and worked through key-pair and key-registration problems along the way.
Completed the foundational networking module on TryHackMe. Gained hands-on understanding of how computer networks function, including how devices communicate, IP addressing, and core networking concepts.
Hacked my first website legally in a safe environment, experiencing what an ethical hacker's job looks like in practice. Learned the basics of offensive security techniques and mindset.
Practiced defending a simulated bank (FakeBank) from an ongoing cyberattack. Learned the fundamentals of defensive security including threat monitoring, incident response, and protection strategies.
Explored the different career paths available in cybersecurity — from SOC Analyst to Penetration Tester. Used this knowledge to map out my own professional roadmap in the security field.
My code is on GitHub, and my full room history and badges are on TryHackMe.
